The leading producer of Loire Wines, Ackerman enjoys a long history that began in 1811. Today the company has given the Loire Wines a new reputation for both vins de pays and appellations contrôlées (wines of designated origin, AOC or AOP)* (Fines Bulles wines, still wines, reds, whites and rosés) in France and on the international markets. Totally committed to a brand strategy founded on a quest for quality and innovation, Ackerman has firm ambitions to grow in all of its distribution channels. *AOP: From 2010 the AOC will be replaced by the AOP, or Appellation d'Origine Protégée. Leading producer of Saumur AOP and Crémant de Loire AOP Workforce : 150 Production : 26 million bottles (of which 4 million are Traditional Method, in the range of Loire Fines Bulles wines (Crémant de Loire, Saumur and Vouvray) Total turnover : €50,000,000 (Fines Bulles wines account for 55% of the company's turnover). Distribution : France and export markets (main countries: United Kingdom - Netherlands - Belgium - Germany - Japan - USA - Canada - Scandinavia). 75% of the Fines Bulles volume is sold in France, as are the vast majority of the Traditional-Method wines. Certifications : BRC (British Retail Consortium) since 1999 and IFS (International Food Standard) since 2005. Ackerman is the leading producer of Saumur AOP and Crémant de Loire AOP. |
