History and Heritage<\/a><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Maison Ackerman was founded in Saumur in 1811, a mythical date in the history of oenology. Also known as the year of the comet, 1811 is reputed to be one of the greatest vintages of all time.
That same year also saw the birth of the Imperial Prince of France, the future King of Rome and son of Napoleon I. It is interesting to note that this reference appears clearly in the coat of arms of Maison Ackerman-Laurance, embodied by the imperial crown.<\/p>\n

Jean-Baptiste Ackerman pioneered in our region the elaboration of Saumur Brut<\/strong> and Cr\u00e9mant de Loire<\/strong>, according to the m\u00e9thode traditionnelle<\/strong>. This was the work of a visionary, but it was also a collective epic, made possible by exceptional workers and collaborators who believed in this adventure.
